Welcome to Laureles

Laureles is 30–40% cheaper than El Poblado, quieter, more authentically Colombian, and increasingly popular with digital nomads who want to integrate locally. Time Out named it one of the world's coolest neighborhoods in 2022. It's also flatter and more bikeable.

Laureles is one of Medellín's safest neighborhoods. It's a residential district with local families, professionals, and a growing expat community. Crime targeting tourists is very rare here.

They're adjacent neighborhoods often grouped together. Laureles proper is slightly more upscale with more cafés and restaurants. El Estadio is named for the football stadium and has a stronger local sports culture. Both are excellent for long-term living.

The Estadio Metro station (Line B) connects Laureles to the rest of the city. It's a 10-minute walk from most apartments. Uber and DiDi are readily available, and many residents bike using the city's Encicla bike-share system.

Yes — Selina Medellín operates in the broader area, and several independent coworking spaces have opened in Laureles in recent years. The neighborhood's café culture also makes it excellent for laptop work.
